Raghupur Fort

Raghupur Fort, believed to be constructed by Mandi rulers as a fortification, involves a 3-kilometer walk (roughly 2 hours) starting from Jalori Pass. The path meanders through woods of oak and rhododendron, presenting sweeping vistas of the Himalayas. Despite only remnants standing, the outlook from the summit is breathtaking, providing picturesque valley scenes. It's an excellent location for capturing images, presenting distinct and almost otherworldly possibilities.

Chaini Kothi

Ancient stone-tower village echoing Himalayan history

Chaini Kothi, a lofty edifice in Chaini hamlet, is reached by a 2 km climb past Shringa Rishi Bagi shrine. The village offers breathtaking sights of Tirthan Valley. Built in the 17th century as a fortifying keep, it initially boasted seven tiers, yet two were destroyed in the 1905 tremor. It endures as one of the highest edifices in classic Himachali design, reaching above 45 meters. The community and the village is picturesque with wheat fields and traditional shawl-making.
